Doja Cat Nabs Another U.K. Chart Title With ‘Paint The Town Red’

Doja Cat Holds No. 1 Spot for Second Week in the U.K.

Doja Cat's hit song "Paint The Town Red" continues to dominate the U.K. charts for a second consecutive week. The Ministry of Sound track has been the most-streamed song in the country, according to the Official Charts Company. Despite strong competition from Olivia Rodrigo, Doja Cat's catchy tune remains at the top.

Olivia Rodrigo Makes Waves on the U.K. Charts

While Doja Cat holds onto the No. 1 spot, Olivia Rodrigo is making her mark on the U.K. singles chart. With her album "Guts" released via Geffen, three songs from the album have climbed up the charts. "Vampire" has jumped from 3rd to 2nd place, while "Bad Idea Right" has soared from 12th to 3rd, reaching a new peak position. Additionally, Rodrigo's "Get Him Back" debuts at No. 7, marking her seventh top 10 hit in the U.K.

Other Notable Chart Climbers

Several other songs have seen significant movement on the U.K. singles chart. Fred Again and Obongjayar's "Adore U" has risen from 9th to 4th place, while Cassö, RAYE & D-Block Europe's "Prada" has moved up from 7th to 5th place. Newcomer Kenya Grace's viral sensation "Strangers" has jumped from 20th to 12th place in just its second week on the chart. Troye Sivan's "Rush" has also made progress, climbing from 22nd to 21st place.

BTS member V has achieved his first solo top 40 entry on the U.K. singles chart with "Slow Dancing" from his debut solo album, Layover. The song debuts at No. 24, adding to V's impressive nine top 40 appearances as part of BTS, three of which reached No. 3. Leigh-Anne, from the group Little Mix, also makes her mark with "My Love" featuring Ayra Starr, debuting at No. 28. This is the second top 40 appearance for both artists.

The Rolling Stones Return to the Charts

The legendary rock band, The Rolling Stones, have once again made their presence felt on the U.K. charts. Their song "Angry," taken from their upcoming album Hackney Diamonds, enters the chart at No. 34. With a career spanning over 60 years, The Rolling Stones now have an impressive total of 44 top 40 hits in their homeland.

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's Latest Collaboration

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion have cracked the top 40 with their latest collaboration, "Bongos." The Atlantic Records track debuts at No. 35, following the success of their controversial hit from 2020, "WAP," which spent three weeks at No. 1. "Bongos" marks Cardi B's 14th top 40 hit and Megan Thee Stallion's fifth in the U.K.
