SF9's Rowoon Shocks Fans with Dramatic Weight Loss for New Drama Role

On August 23, 2023, SF9's Rowoon made headlines when he attended a press conference for his new drama, "Destined With You." The actor revealed that he had undergone a remarkable transformation for his role, shedding an impressive 8kg (17.6 lbs) of weight.

Despite already having a slim figure, Rowoon's dedication to his character surprised many. He explained that since the drama was based on a webtoon, he wanted to embody the "webtoon-like" appearance as much as possible.

"As this character has a familial history [of illness], I lost around 8kg. That's why I came out looking a little bit more handsome. I'm also so thankful that it made me look a little more like a manhwa."

He crosses paths with Lee Hong Jo (played by Jo Bo Ah), a civil servant who holds the key to the cure. Lee Hong Jo, a low-ranking official at the Department of Greenery, becomes the owner of an ancient cursed book called Mokham.
