The Rising K-Pop Boy Group

Vanner (Korean: 배너; stylized in all caps) is a South Korean boy band formed by VT Entertainment in 2019. The group is composed of five members: Taehwan, Gon, Hyesung, Sungkook, and Yeonggwang. They are known for their versatile music style, powerful performances, and charismatic personalities. Their fandom name is VVS, which stands for “Very Very Slightly”, a reference to the clarity of diamonds and the value of their fans.

History

• The members of Vanner were trainees for an average of five years before debuting.
• They started their promotional activities in Japan in 2018, holding concerts in Tokyo and Osaka. They performed more than 200 times in Japan prior to their Korean debut.

• They released their second single album Life and its title track “Form” on December 1, 2020.
• They participated and performed at K-Stage 2021: Untact Concert, a series of online concerts streamed on YouTube and MuBeat platform in 2021.
• They attended and performed at the 2021 K-Stage Awards and won the “Global K-Pop Star Award”.
• They released their third single album Take Off and its title track “Rollin” on February 28, 2022.
• They began their U.S. tour, 2022 U.S. TOUR: BOOST UP PART 1, around 14 cities starting on March 16, 2022.
• They performed at a K-pop concert, Pocket Friends Tour in LA, on April 16 to 17, 2022.
• They joined the JTBC idol survival show, Peak Time, as Team 11:00 in February 2023.

Members

• Taehwan (태환) - Leader, Main Vocalist. Born on January 15, 1994. He is good at composition, lyric writing, and musicals. He was a rumored Seventeen member and a Pledis trainee. He is allergic to milk, beef, horses and hamsters. His favorite artists are Beyonce, DNCE, Cardi B and Hwasa.
• Gon (곤) - Vocalist, Main Rapper, Main Dancer. Born on August 7, 1995. He is good at freestyle dance and scuba diving. He also breeds reptiles and owns a snake named Mumu. He was supposed to be Vanner’s dance trainer but joined the group later. He loves cats but is allergic to them. He has a tattoo on his forearm that says “WE ARE GOING TO BE WHAT WE WERE BORN TO BE”. He has an older sister who lives in Ireland.
• Hyesung (혜성) - Lead Vocalist, Lead Dancer. Born on January 17, 1996. He likes eating jelly and shopping. He is good at running and drumming. He has a mole under his left eye that he considers his charm point. He can speak Japanese fluently. He is close with former Wanna One member Park Jihoon.
• Sungkook (성국) - Vocalist, Rapper, Dancer. Born on April 24, 1996. He likes playing games and watching movies. He is good at acting and impersonating other celebrities. He can play the guitar and the piano. He is the mood maker of the group and often makes jokes. He is a fan of BTS and IU.
• Yeonggwang (영광) - Vocalist, Rapper, Dancer, Maknae. Born on July 14, 1997. He likes reading books and listening to music. He is good at drawing and painting. He can speak English well and often communicates with international fans. He is the most quiet and calm member of the group. He admires EXO and Bruno Mars.
