Just B: The Rising K-Pop Group You Need to Know
Just B is a six-member South Korean boy band formed by Bluedot Entertainment. The group made their debut in 2021 and has been gaining attention in the K-pop industry for their impressive talent and unique style.
Formation and Pre-Debut
Just B consists of six members: Geonu, Bain, Lim Ji-min, JM, DY, and Sangwoo. Prior to their debut, several members of the group had experience in other K-pop shows. DY and Bain were contestants on MBC's survival show Under Nineteen, with DY winning first place and debuting as the center of 1the9. Lim Ji-min, on the other hand, was a contestant on SBS' The Fan but was ultimately eliminated. He later made his solo debut with his single album Mini.
Geonu and JM were former contestants on Mnet's survival show I-Land, with Geonu making it to the second part of episode 8, and JM being eliminated in the first part. Despite their setbacks, the members continued to pursue their passion for music and eventually came together to form Just B.
Debut with "Just Burn" and "Just Beat"
On June 30, 2021, Just B made their official debut with their first extended play (EP) "Just Burn," featuring the lead single "Damage." The song was produced by Bang Yong-guk, the former leader of the boy group B.A.P, and showcased the group's impressive vocal and rap skills, as well as their captivating stage presence. The EP also included tracks such as "Run" and "Stop It."
Just B made their comeback on October 27, 2021, with their first single album "Just Beat," featuring the lead single "Tick Tock." The music video for "Tick Tock" showcased the group's slick dance moves and powerful vocals, and the album also included tracks such as "Focus" and "Rain." The group's second release further solidified their place in the K-pop industry and cemented their growing fan base.
"Just Begun" and "= (Neun)"
In 2022, Just B continued their momentum with the release of their second EP, "Just Begun," on April 12. The lead single, "Re=load," showcased the group's growth and versatility, and the EP also included tracks such as "It's a Party" and "So Fine."
Most recently, on November 16, 2022, Just B released their third EP, "= (Neun)," featuring the lead single "Me=." The music video for "Me=" showcases the group's signature edgy and cool style, and the EP includes tracks such as "Ain't Easy" and "Blessing."
